According to Anhui Daily, in recent years, University of Science and Technology of China has actively cooperated with well-known universities and enterprises at home and abroad to train top-notch innovative talents with solid theoretical basis and practical experience in integrated circuits.

The Institute of Microelectronics set up by Hefei University of Technology is the first institute of microelectronics among Anhui universities. In 2015, it was approved to establish a national demonstration institute of microelectronics. It has formed fresh characteristics in many fields such as integrated circuit design, semiconductor devices and integrated technology, electromagnetic field and microwave technology. A large number of innovative talents cultivated have grown into backbone and leading forces in relevant fields and key enterprises of the country.

According to the joint training agreement between the two universities, under the cooperation and guidance of the National Demonstration Microelectronics Institute, the two sides will work together to break the boundary between the core disciplines of integrated circuits and related disciplines, and jointly establish an innovative mechanism of interdisciplinary cross integration, industry education integration, and science education connectivity, aiming at the current problems of dislocation of academic frontiers and professional courses, disconnection between talent training and actual needs, and barriers between universities and enterprises, And a talent cultivation model with zero distance from practical scenarios.
