Specifically, in terms of imports, in April, China imported 46.55 billion integrated circuit products, with a cumulative import of 168.1 billion in the first four months, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%. In April, the import amount reached 222.49 billion yuan, with a cumulative import amount of 832.5 billion yuan in the first four months, a year-on-year increase of 15.9%. In addition, in the first four months, the quantity and amount of diodes and similar semiconductor devices also increased by 14.9% and 7.4% year-on-year, respectively.

In terms of exports, in the first four months, China exported 88.68 billion integrated circuit products, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%, with an export amount of 355.24 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.5%. Among them, in April, exports were 26.26 billion, with an export amount of 91.94 billion yuan. In addition, from January to April, China exported 24.1054 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, with an export amount of 266.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 5.5%.

Currently, with the gradual increase in the localization rate of the semiconductor industry, the proportion of imported integrated circuit products in China is showing a downward trend to reduce dependence on imported chips.

According to data previously released by the customs, in 2023, China imported a total of 479.5 billion integrated circuits, a decrease of 10.8% compared to 2022; The cumulative export of integrated circuits is 267.8 billion, a decrease of 1.8% compared to 2022.
