According to CCTV News, data shows that the scale of China's core artificial intelligence industry reached 578.4 billion yuan in 2023, with a growth rate of 13.9%. The adoption rate of generative artificial intelligence by enterprises in China has reached 15%, with a market size of approximately 14.4 trillion yuan.
At present, China attaches great importance to the development of artificial intelligence, actively promotes the deep integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the real economy, and fosters and expands the intelligent industry.
On June 20th, at the 2024 World Intelligent Industry Expo held in Tianjin, the "Report on the Development of China's New Generation Artificial Intelligence Technology Industry 2024" was officially released.
The report shows that the number of artificial intelligence enterprises in China has exceeded 4000, and artificial intelligence has become an important driving force and strategic technology for a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation.

The report points out that China has established an artificial intelligence technology system, industrial innovation ecosystem, and enterprise alliances based on independent innovation, including intelligent chips, large models, infrastructure and operating systems, toolchains, deep learning platforms, and application technologies. According to the "New Generation Artificial Intelligence Patent Technology Analysis Report" released by the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center and the Electronic Intellectual Property Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China has become an important competitor for global innovation in the new generation of artificial intelligence technology. As of the end of 2023, the number of publicly available patents for the basic and model layers of next-generation artificial intelligence in China has reached 62000, including nearly 20000 valid patents and 35000 pending applications. Since 2017, the average annual growth rate of patent applications has exceeded 43%.
