Recently, the launch ceremony of the High Value Patent Cultivation Base for Key Integrated Circuit Technologies in Zhejiang Province was held at the Shaoxing Research Institute of Zhejiang University.

According to the "Yuecheng Release", this is the first provincial-level high-value patent cultivation base in Yuecheng District, and currently the only one in the integrated circuit field in the province.

The base is jointly composed of Zhejiang University Research Institute, Xinlian Integration, Changdian Shaoxing, Zhongke Communication, Shaoxing Integrated Circuit Industry Association, and professional intellectual property service institutions, with the advantage of multiple resources such as "industry university research services". Through a 2-year construction, the main tasks include the establishment of an intellectual property management system, technology research and industrialization, patent information support and forward-looking analysis, cultivation of high-value invention patents, and PCT applications.

Wang Honglong, Secretary General of Shaoxing Integrated Circuit Industry Association, stated that the layout of the base aligns with an international perspective, while awakening dormant patents through the construction of an alliance "patent pool", accelerating the transfer of scientific and technological achievements from the "bookshelf" to the "shelf", and exploring a practical and feasible high-value patent cultivation path for the domestic integrated circuit industry.

In response to the current problems faced by the integrated circuit industry in Shaoxing, the base focuses on researching key technologies such as new generation semiconductor materials, advanced packaging, and optoelectronic fusion, and is equipped with comprehensive research and development resources.

According to Wang Yujie, an expert in integrated patent technology at Xinlian, in terms of expected results, the base plans to form 2-3 high-value patent combinations around key core technologies during the construction period, with a total of more than 100 high-value invention patents and PCT patents applied for, and an invention patent authorization rate of not less than 60%. At the same time, the technological achievements produced will be jointly industrialized by the co construction units.
