Another Integrated Circuit College Unveiled

In recent years, in order to speed up the cultivation of integrated circuit talents and promote the cooperation of industry, university and research, many domestic colleges and universities have successively established integrated circuit colleges. Recently, four new colleges in Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University were unveiled, namely the College of Intelligent Science and Technology, the College of Intelligent Software and Engineering, the College of Integrated Circuits, and the College of Digital Economy and Management. According to the introduction of "Suzhou Release", the four new colleges correspond to intelligent science and technology, software engineering (intelligent software), integrated circuit design and integrated system, and digital economy. It is reported that this major relies on the national second-level key discipline "Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics" and 3 national-level experimental teaching platforms to carry out cutting-edge basic research on integrated circuit materials, devices, design, equipment and systems, and build the discipline of micro-nanoelectronics. Integrated optoelectronics, integrated circuit design, integrated circuit devices, technology and equipment, integrated circuit system inheritance and application and other disciplines. The integrated circuit discipline of Nanjing University originated from the first batch of semiconductor majors established in my country in 1956. The School of Integrated Circuits will focus on building a first-class discipline of integrated circuit science and engineering, and through the deep integration of innovation chain, industry chain, and talent chain, to build an advanced integrated circuit process R&D center with international influence. The college will give full play to the advantages of Nanjing University's basic disciplines, and create a demonstration area for a new model of running a new engineering school through multi-disciplinary crossover and industrial cooperation, so as to make greater contributions to the development of my country's integrated circuit industry.
